It is with concern we record a melancholy accident which occurred on Sunday morning the 7th inst. As Mr. Richard Larue, of Wormsley's Gap, Jefferson county, was driving a loaded wagon to Georgetown, when about three-fourths of a mile below Mr. Drane's tavern, the horses suddenly took fright, and Mr. Larue's son Isaac, a promising lad of about 17 years of age, was instantly thrown from the saddle horse to the earth; and, before he could recover himself, both wheels passed over his body. Every possible assistance was immediately rendered the lad, but to no purpose. He expired the same evening, after enduring the most severe and excruciating pain.
