THE MISSISSIPPI FREE TRADER.

This Van Buren paper, printed at Natchez, speaking of the circulation of "Todd & Drake's life of Harrison" by the Whigs in Mississippi, makes the following statement:—"This work has not taken so favorably in Virginia and Kentucky as was anticipated, and we learn from a friend just from those States, that not a copy can be procured in a Book Store in either of them."

We are gratified to learn from this authority, that the Whigs have not suffered this work to remain in the Book Stores. They have placed them at the fireside of the Log Cabins. We shall be pleased to have the opinion of the "Free Trader" on this subject as corrected by the late Presidential election in Virginia, Kentucky and Mississippi.
