Mr. J. Y. Johnson, for so many years a member of the building firm of N. B. Johnson & Co., has withdrawn, and will leave to-day on a short trip for rest and recuperation, after eight years of unremitting attention to business.

During Mr. Johnson's extensive business intercourse with our citizens, he has made many friends whose good wishes will follow him. The firm of which he was a member was in the front rank of our business enterprises, conspicuous in everything that promised to advance the general welfare, responding with profuse liberality to every plan proposed for the improvement of the town or benefit of the community. And in every effort for the general welfare Mr. J. Y. Johnson was always ready.
