Event Details
Prince Frederick, son of Prince William of Hesse Cassel, passed through Franckfort incognito last Saturday returning from studies in Geneva and proceeded to Hanau. Prince William arrived yesterday from Schwetzingen after conferring with the Elector Palatine, was received with a triple artillery salvo, presented wine of honour, offered grenadiers (which he declined), complimented by regency deputies, dined with Count Degenfeld (Prussian minister), and set out for Hanau. Reports persist of large body of Saxons and other Imperial troops to be taken into Emperor's service next spring unless peace concluded with Porte beforehand.
