Further of The TREATY.
Since yesterday we learn, that the Treaty between Great-Britain and the United States was ratified by the Senate, on condition, that an Article be added to said Treaty suspending the operation of so much of the 13th Article thereof as relates to Trade and Intercourse with the British Islands in the West-Indies. And the Senate recommend that in the mean time further negociations be entered into with his Britannic Majesty respecting a future arrangement of said Trade.
The Senate of the United States adjourned this day.
The substance of the 13th article of the Treaty is, that the United States may export to the British Islands, the produce of the States in vessels not exceeding seventy tons burthen—and that they may import therefrom, in vessels of the same burthen, into the States, the produce of the islands—but the United States are prohibited from exporting to Europe, from the said States, Sugar, Coffee, Cotton, & Cocoa, the produce of any of the W. I. Islands.

The Treaty between Great-Britain and the United States was ratified by the Senate on condition that an Article be added suspending the operation of so much of the 13th Article as relates to Trade and Intercourse with the British Islands in the West-Indies. The Senate recommends further negotiations with his Britannic Majesty respecting a future arrangement of said Trade.
