One Claims Knife Was Used—Case
Continued to July 1
William Paul, an Italian employed
as a driller on the Everett estate,
was in Municipal court this morning
charged with creating a disturbance
by assaulting Joseph R. Arsini, an
Italian laborer employed at the same
place, on the night of June 14. It is
alleged that Paul assaulted Arsini as
the result of a disagreement. Arsini
alleges that Paul drew a knife on
him and cut him about the left hand
with which he was trying to defend
himself. Paul claims that he merely
pushed Arsini, who fell upon a broken
bottle, which was the cause of
Arsini's injuries. The case was continued until July 1st for trial. The
witnesses were each held in the custody of Sheriff Nash in default of $50
bail.
