SIR WILLIAM JOHNSON visited by above three Hundred Friendly Indians of the Five Nations and Deputies from the Senecas accompanied by Hans Eie, a German formerly delivered as prisoner two years ago but who escaped, accompanied Senecas to war against English, and committed acts of cruelty; Sir William caused his apprehension and commitment to Albany Gaol. Also obtained Gabriel Ellison, Englishman taken November 1762 to Kanawagan, escaped to Kanadaego, delivered by friendly Senecas who remained neuter.
