WRITES DEATH NOTICE.

Captain M. W. Parker Then Takes Morphine and Sinks to Sleep.

Houston, May 22.—After having written his own notice of death, addressed telegrams to his friends and indited messages of explanation to his relatives and to the public, Captain M. W. Parker, once of east Tennessee, and later of Ennis, Tex., but recently a resident of Houston, took his own life.

Early Monday morning his remains were found lying on the bed he usually occupied at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Fannie Guild, 1518 Gano street. Upon a table near at hand was a partially emptied bottle labeled "morphine." The letters and telegrams prepared for distribution were left in plain view.
