Air Trip to Medora
Van Hook, N. D., Oct. 8.-P. M. Shefveland, T. B. Rossum, Oscar Knudson, Philip Elgin, and C. O. and L. E. Heidenberg made an airplane trip from here to Medora and return recently in a plane piloted by George Lowers of Flaxville, Mont.
The pilot took a course over the Bad Lands and the Killdeer mountains in the six-passenger Stinson-Detroiter, which attained a speed of 100 miles an hour and upwards. The party reached an altitude of 2,000 feet in places. The machine belongs to John Whitman of Grand Forks.
