CAMPAIGN QUOTA
COMMUNITY HAS ABOUT $1,000 OF
FUND ASKED FOR JEWISH RELIEF HERE.
Chairman L. J. Robin of the Jewish Relief campaign here, announced today that he had received nearly a thousand dollars and was now practically assured of the full quota from Cordele. The people here have been unusually liberal and from many sources. The campaign here will be closed next Wednesday.
Chairman Robin received the following telegram from Armand May at state headquarters in Atlanta today:
"Reports coming through the state indicate that Georgia will more than reach its quota the first return where from Albany Georgia whose quota was $7,500. Mr. L. J. Hofmayor, Elberton is second city to report quota is $1,000 and they have raised over $1,100. This campaign was handled by Mr. J. Cohen, Big cities are the ones that should be easiest to secure quota as they have been less hurt. Atlanta's quota is $100,000 she has reached up to this time practically $60,000 and will raise its quota. It has been positively demonstrated that to get best results the appeal should be nonsectarian.
Get your teams to work get the woman interested and let me say that we received one subscription from a woman who gave a thousand dollars this was in addition to the gift of her husband of an equal amount. Remember if you fail in this work it is your fault because wherever this campaign has been put on systematically and vigorously it has succeeded. Whatever of any kind do not hesitate to let me know, keep me thoroughly advised as to your progress."
