The Fairmont Daily Exposition tells of a squad of men traveling through Marion and Monongalia counties, selling Davis sewing machines and taking notes, which the parties making them believe are payable on the installment plan, in seven years, but which turn out to be payable immediately. The sewing machine, which probably is worth a few dollars, thus sold at $50.00 and put on the installment plan. People should be careful about these fakirs nowadays no matter what he is dealing in.
