HAIL STORM.
From the information we have had of the hail storm on Wednesday the 29th ult. it must have fallen in different parts in very large quantities.
By a gentleman from Baltimore we learn, that in Reisterstown, the hail-stones were as large as a half pint. One horse was killed by them, and considerable damage done to glass windows and roofs of houses. In Adams county they were very large; and in Mifflin county they are described to be as large as goose eggs.
Two young men crossing the Juniata in a canoe, had their hands so cut and bruised, that they were unable to work the canoe, and were obliged to let it drift with the current until the storm was over. A number of lambs and other animals were destroyed by the hail-stones.
