Full Text

Not Returned.—Hon. Geo. M. Beltzhoover, who started for Charleston, South Carolina, as a lay delegate, to attend the Lutheran General Synod which convened at that city, has not returned at the time of penning this notice, although we received a letter last week from him, written at Charleston, stating that he expected to arrive home the latter part of this week. In the proceedings of the Synod published, we noticed that he was elected Secretary of that meeting. This body also decided to remove the Theological Seminary from Columbia, S. C., to Roanoke College, Va., which will be a valuable acquisition to that excellent institution.
