Fire about 12 o'clock last Friday night at Beallsville, this county, destroyed the cemetery house in the Monocacy Cemetery. The wind was blowing very hard, and sparks from the burning building set fire to several other buildings close by, which were only saved by heroic efforts of the citizens of the town. The cemetery house, with its contents, which was occupied by Mr. Devilbiss, keeper of the cemetery, was entirely destroyed. The fire is supposed to have caught from a defective flue. Loss about $2,000.
