CANNON LOOMS UP.
George M. Reported to Be Gaining in Strength.

George M. Cannon is looming up lately as a senatorial possibility. The latest accession to his ranks is reported to be Senator-elect Willis Johnson of the Tenth district. In addition, S. H. Love and Nephi Morris are quoted as saying that they will support Mr. Cannon from start to finish if he concludes to get actively into the fight.

It is generally understood that Mr. Cannon is a candidate, although he has made no formal declaration to that effect. The activity of his friends lends color to the story that within the next few days he will make some definite announcement of his position. Should he start an aggressive campaign his friends believe he would have a good chance to land the position.
