Hog cholera is reported to have made its appearance among the herds in the vicinity of Fayette, Jefferson county, where it is said more than fifty porkers already have died from the disease, while numerous others are infected. The State Live Stock Sanitary Board has been appealed to for assistance in stamping out the disease, and has sent serum for the inoculation of the animals. Applications for serum should be made to the State Veterinarian at the A. and M. College, Starkville, but it may be procured elsewhere, perhaps sooner.
