MORE MASQUERADING. On Friday last a handbill was received in town advertising a wagon and pony which were taken from the stable of J. Whitson at the United States' Hotel in New York, by two boys, as was supposed at the time, but which, it was afterwards believed, were girls dressed in boy's clothes. From the description given of them in the advertisement, there is no doubt of their being the persons who recently visited us in the same disguise. A reward is offered for the detection of the horse and wagon, either with or without the drivers. They are thus described: "The horse is a black pony, with his mane and tail cut off, has a very short dock, and has the heaves,—has very low hips. The wagon and harness are somewhat worn; the wagon is painted black—has a band round the hind axle-tree—has on the near side a small piece broke out of the panel; the part that is in front of the wagon has one seat for two persons; the harness is also black." The persons who took the horse and wagon were apparently two boys "about 15 years old; one of them had on a frock coat of a dark color, and the other a light round-about. The largest one was somewhat freckled." The ease with which these persons slipped through the fingers of Justice, on their recent excursion to this place, it seems has emboldened them to further depredations. They will not be likely again to escape as they did before, but will, most probably, have a permanent residence provided them by the State.
