BOSTON, February 20.

A gentleman from New-York assures us, that notwithstanding reports to the contrary, thirty-nine fortieths of the people of that city are in favour of the adoption of the federal Constitution: The opposers consisting only of a small group of salary-men. All the States, except Rhode-Island, have called Conventions—and as the Assembly of that State is to meet next week, it is expected that she will not remain an exception to the measure— Should it be the case, it will be a very pleasurable event—for, as the scripture, there is more joy over one sinner that repenteth, than, &c.
