Hubby Didn't Know Wife Ran Call Agency

LONDON (UP) - Mrs. Mark Langtry testified she ran a call-girl agency in her apartment for six months in 1951 without her husband knowing what was going on.

"At that stage he was rather more naive than he is now," Mrs. Langtry said.

Langtry, now charged himself with operating a message center for call girls, said he did not know what his wife was doing back in 1951 until he read about it in the papers following a raid.

Mrs. Langtry, testifying in a dispute over their furniture, said Langtry did not understand why girls and men came and went through her flat after they were married.

"I told him I was running a modeling agency," she said.
