Dodgers Jolt Cubs 6-To-3 For Seventh Straight Win

NEW YORK - (INS) - The Brooklyn Dodgers ran their winning streak to seven straight Saturday when they defeated the Chicago Cubs, 6 to 3.

Sal Maglie gave up seven hits, one of them Ernie Banks' 23rd homerun, and struck out seven as he registered his fourth victory against three defeats.

The Dodgers opened with two runs in the first inning off loser Jim Hughes, and Sandy Amoros put the game out of reach as early as the fourth with a two-run homer. A man also was aboard in the seventh when Duke Snider unloaded his 25th homer, tying Cincinnati's Ted Kluszewski for the National League lead.
