Governor Ellerbe's Orders to Hotel Dispensaries.

(Register, 16th.)

Every hotel dispensary in the State will be closed by Governor Ellerbe today, under authority claimed by him under the law.

So far as Columbia is concerned only two hotels will be affected, the Grand Central and Jerome.

It will be pretty hard on the Windsor hotel at Spartanburg. It has only recently been granted the privilege, and it was expected to be opened today. But it will not and the liquor will have to be returned to the State dispensary.

It is said that the State Board of Control will meet in a day or two and that they will then take up the matter.
