Full Text

LISBON, May 14, O.S. Notwithstanding the Government's Orders against fixing up Horns over the Doors and Windows of Houses, some were found a few Days since in divers Parts of the Town. The 20th Instant in the Night the Patrol stopt near the Palace Royal a certain Person, behind whom another Man walked, who immediately took to his Heels and in his Fright dropt a Basket full of Horns, with which they undoubtedly designed to decorate some Houses. It has since been discovered that the Person seized by the Patrol is a Gentleman, who used to ramble about the Streets in the Night Time, followed by his Servant, who fixed the Horns at such Houses as he directed. We doubt not but this Gentleman will pay dearly for this mischievous Diversion; and that there seems to be the greater Necessity for making an Example of him, as this malicious Humour has already spread thro' other Towns in the Kingdom.
