SPECIAL NOTICE
We are making an effort to put "The Dawn" on a cash basis, all subscriptions to be paid in advance and to this end we are mailing out statements to all who are in arrears one year or more, and we trust each subscriber will consider it only as intended, purely a matter of business, and come in or send in the money to square themselves We cannot do business with our money in the pockets of a thousand people, and it is for this reason that we ask a prompt response from each one in arrears. If you want to know just how you stand with us on subscription, look at the yellow label on your paper and if it reads: "JOHN DOE 8 MAY. 05" You are two years in arrears, which means you owe us $2 and if you want The Dawn another year you would pay us $3 and then the last figure after your name would be changed from 5 to 8. We have been put to a heavy expense in the matter of buying and building as well as in the improvement of The Dawn, new machinery, type, etc., and need every dollar owing us and we believe everyone in arrears will pay up back dues and a year ahead and do it cheerfully when they are made aware of the fact that we need it as we do now.
