Full Text
It may be lots of fun to insurge and kick the seats of the mighty, but when it comes to drawing up comfortably before the pie counter and ordering a repast for the folks at home the head waiter fails to hear the cry of distress that emanates from the insurgents. There are some well known gentlemen now in Washington who will fail to frank home any chicken pies and oyster loaves for the willing workers back in Oshkosh and Oilville. Practical politics becomes brutally practical when dealing with a recalcitrant insurgent, trouble-maker or whatever name they go by—but these same men whose names are off the visiting list of the white house are going to make themselves heard and it will be no child's whimper that will split the heavens and rend the air. Listen for loud sounds and detonations from the region of the District of Columbia.
