Vermont.—Two Conventions, one National Republican, the other consisting of friends of the administration, met at Montpelier on Wednesday last. In the former, a committee reported, that they had conferred with a committee of the Jackson convention, and had agreed with them relative to the mode of nominating a Union ticket for State officers. The Jackson convention were to nominate candidates for Governor and four Counsellors, and the National Republican for Lieut. Governor, Treasurer, and eight Counsellors. This mode was adopted by both Conventions, and Ezra Meech was nominated in both for Governor, Jedediah H. Harris for Lieut. Governor, Benjamin Swan, for Treasurer, and twelve other gentlemen for Counsellors.
