NAACP Enrolls More Life Memberships

In a whirlwind series of rallies in the Boston area Jackie Robinson, baseball great, humanitarian and national chairman of the Fighting Fund for Freedom for the NAACP soon to take up his duties as vice president in charge of sales for Chock Full 'O Nuts, aroused the citizens here to support the work of the NAACP to the tune of $33,836.

A highlight of the Brotherhood Breakfast sponsored by the Branch at the Sheraton Plaza chaired by Bernard Jackson was the subscription to a life membership by Mr and Mrs. Harold Vaughan for their ten-day old daughter Robin, making her the youngest life member in the world.

Assisting Robinson with the drive was national cochairman Ian A. Atty. Rowena Taylor, chairman of the Boston Branch Fighting for Freedom, Mrs. K. Watson Coleman, Regional Assistant; Kenneth I.
