In the General Assembly of New-Jersey, now sitting at Trenton, a message from his Excellency the Governor of the State was read, together with a letter from Mr. Otto, Charge des Affaires of France, dated New-York, 28th December, 1785, requesting liberty for a Botanist of his Most Christian Majesty to purchase a piece of 30 acres of land, for the purpose of facilitating the mutual exchange of trees and plants, &c. of both countries,—Committed to Mr. Schenk and Mr. Hall, to bring in a bill for that purpose.
