At 6:00 A M. the bike-hike begins from Hunter St Bicyele Shop to Lincoln Country Club via Hunter Road From there, Some plan to take a dip in the pool at Washington Park; some will vie for victory over their opponents at tennis; some will breakfast, make a quick cnange into Sunday-go-to-meetings and teach classes at Sunday School; some wlll stay out untill time to dress for eleven o'clock services So itls hark. hark, the dogs do bark.. the coeds are riding to tciwn....some in shorts, some in slacks. but nary a one wears a frown Folk who RUSH to Work at 9 A M daily find no trouble at all in keeping 6:00 A. M engage-ments fcr these delightful past-times that so wonderfully preserve their youth "EVERYBODY S DOING IT!" HOW A SPORT ENTERTAINS The spotlight favors a certain Marion Allen. veteran member of Bus. and Pros and Ball and Rac-quet. who hcored Florence Mor rison. also a B and P veteran. with a fashionable reception, Wednesday afternoon from 5-7 at her lovely home on Chestnut Strect. Marion's cclor scheme of pink and blue was carried out to the letter Fresn cut gladioli, carnations. rosebuds. lilies, lockspur, interspersed with lacy fern and clinging y, wre artistically arranged inroughout the entire house in vases and beautiful baskets tied with satin ribbon The perfect ncstess was lcvely in an exquisita afternoon dress of black lace bod-ice and full kirt of marquisette with white velvet bows at the per-ky sleeves and white velvet girdle. She wore an old gold slave neck-lace, gold earrings with pearl drops Receiving line composed of W1i-nemina Scretchensig earingaqu-marine blue chifion. redingote Grecian mode with pink insert ard draped scarf. corsage of gar-denia and maiden fern. silver andals): Mrs. M. C. Saunders of Chicago (wearing black lace over taffeta. corsage of shaded pink roses - rhine store necklace): Flcrence (pros bride and sports racqueteer) in pink net, swirling skirt. lace top, sleeves caught with blue velvet bcivs. winlite congage of gardenia, tied with satin.. pink chiffon kerchief. old fashioned braelet of rcses and daisies. hand-carved ivory): Lavonia Jcaes (in pink net): Hazeline Collier (peach lace. Gre-clan pearl bracelet of delicate blue leaves and bells): Mrs Agnes Mcore (aqua blue net over match-ing satin vith velvet ribbons; a cingle pink rose pendant on ivory chain necklace); Bessie Lawrence (pink taffeta with new slde poc-kets and shirred waist; blue bus-tle bow; pink and blue corsage): Havinia Turner presided at the piano (black tailored skirt. pink silk jacket. pink satin wide sash skirt length): Lena Andrews kept the GUEST BOOK. Jessie Bridges directed service (in tailored blue) assisted by Rosa Belle McRae (Marion's sister from N C ) and Sara Lowry The table wars covered with lace cloth: centerpiece of pink rosebuds and blue flowers in old silver bowl, cupid bride and groom; there were pink and blue sandyiches of cream cheese. pimento cneese, stuffed olive, mincedchicken; there were five kinds of fancy cakes; punch bowl was surrcunded by flowens and ivy and presided over by Helen Lawrence Those signing the Guest Book vere: Alma Luwis. Those of you who wish to go to the tournament in Fort Valley could string along witn them as they haVe CHARTERED BUSES and are leaving from the YMCA at 7 AM returning the same day.
