Wage Increases

Toledo Pipe Threading workers, members of Local 12 UAW-CIO approved a contract granting 13 cents an hour across the board and from one to 13 cents inequities adjustments in addition to the raise grant.

The 335 employees will get the boost retroactive to June 21, it was announced by Melvin Schultz, president of Local 12 and who completed the final negotiations. He was helped in the course of talks by board member Norman Meyers.

The new contract grants employees with 15 or more years of service an extra one cent an hour attached to the regular vacation bonus.
