A Fugitive from Justice—Yesterday morning Officers Raynor and Flannery picked up a man named Elson Hysson, a son, we presume of "Old Hyson," who is charged with having committed a rape upon the person of his own daughter, who is but thirteen years of age, some time during the month of April, near Woodsfield, Monroe County, Ohio, near which place he resided. The genial father was lodged in Hammond street Station house to await the action of the authorities of the aforementioned county. Hysson was arrested at the time of the outrage, but while waiting trial managed to effect his escape. He claims to be innocent, and says that he was on his way to New Orleans to obtain work when arrested.—Cin. Enq., 14th.
