CASTRO'S POWER MAY CRUMBLE

Capture of the Guardianship Alix Show Venezuelans that the Dutch Mean Business

Willemstad, Curacao, Dec. 15. - By the easy capture of the Venezuelan coast guardship Alix by the Dutch cruiser Gelderland, it is feared that the same fate awaits all the other Venezuelan vessels. Through the activity of three formidable Dutch warships the suspicious absence of President Castro has thrown the people of Venezuela into a state of wildest fear, according to messages reaching here today and a revolt is now threatened.

The seizure of the Alix without a shot being fired is believed here to mark the beginning of the speedy end of the Venezuelan resistance to Dutch demands.
