"The Kimballigh," school publication of the Kimball high school, received outstanding honors in the 1941 Critical Service of Scroll and Quill. These honors include the winning of the International Second place award.
"A well-written chronicle of school activities." the Kimballigh also uses original features and art work to add to the reading interest. News coverage is adequate and emphasis is well placed on better school effort.
The staff deserves faculty and student support of this fine publication, stated Edward Nell, executive secretary of the Scroll and Quill.
The State trophy for first place was awarded the Kimballigh for two consecutive years and it has maintained fourth place rating in the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
Mrs. Willa J. Page is the faculty advisor of the publication and Frank Saunders is Editor in chief. Other staff members are Edity Prunty associate editor: Edward Greer, managing editor: Neportia Hewitte, news editor: Rufus Todd, sports editor; and Ouida Groene, reporter in charge. All reporters and staff members come from the class in Journalism.
