Red Hook's Boat Landing Parking Area is seldom as crowded as shown in this picture taken during last year's Fourth of July celebration on St. John, but it does get a lot of use and is in poor condition and filled with pot-holes. Public Works reports that a coating of light asphalt will be laid as a dust palliative in the very near future and it is hoped the area can be properly resurfaced when funds become available at the beginning of the fiscal year July 1. Meantime a bus-stop shelter is under construction.
