$2000 Loss by Fire in Hinsdale.

The house and barn of Samuel Smith on Brattleboro street, Hinsdale, caught fire early Saturday morning. The alarm was given at 3 o'clock and soon after that the fire company were at work. The blaze was already under way, a high wind was blowing and the most that could be done was to save part of the furniture of the lower floor and to keep the fire from spreading to the surrounding buildings. The loss was estimated at $2000. Property was insured for $1500, by New Hampshire Insurance Co. of Manchester.
