Full Text

Yesterday, between the hours of 12 and 1 o'clock, Mount, who had been remanded by the Hustings Court, for further trial to the District Court, for breaking into the store of Mr. William Cox, found means to make his escape, and has not been since heard of. Without knowing the manner in which this culprit effected his escape, we do not censure the keeper for negligence, but we think the circumstance of an escape in the open day, requires a strict investigation on the part of the Mayor and Aldermen.
