From Morristown, in New-Jersey, we are informed, that on the 21st ult: there was at that place a most tremendous hurricane, tornado or whirlwind, that nearly destroyed nine houses, besides barns, hovels, barrack, and many other buildings. Many persons who happened to be within the course of the whirl, were near being dashed into atoms. The chief effects of this most extraordinary blast were confined to a very narrow district, not half a mile in breadth. Providentially, no one life was lost - save that of a cow, whose limbs were found in different places.
