The World has waited upon the Mayor, Dr. J. W. McSherry, for his consent to the proper use of Fire Works and Crackers on Monday, December 26, 1892. The Mayor has authorized us to say that no objections will be raised, provided the use of same is not carried to extremes, nor to the detriment or injury of any one. The children can go in on
That Day Only,
For a royal good time. But, all must remember that any mischief caused by them will be punished. The Mayor willingly consents in this way only, and will not excuse any wrong doing. So all can enjoy the day in a proper way. This is all any one could desire. The Mayor wants all to have a good time, and especially the children.
