The Election of 4 members of Congress, and of members of the State Legislature, took place in Georgia, on Monday, the 1st Inst.—The Election for Congress is by a General Ticket throughout the State. We have returns only from two Counties; Effingham, and Chatham (in which last is the town of Savannah) The result is for George M. Troup 478, William W. Bibb 469, Elijah Clarke 414, John Forsyth 242, Bolling Hall 227, John Elliott 147, Howell Cobb 46. It is likely, that the three first are elected. Messrs. Troup, Bibb and Cobb are in the present Congress.
