These gentlemen recently opened in San Francisco a mining record office and real estate agency. A real estate agency is nothing new in San Francisco, but the idea of connecting with such a business a mining record office is entirely new, nothing of the kind ever having been attempted in San Francisco, although so much needed as a means of keeping the mining public properly advised of the condition of mines in different localities on the coast, by keeping a complete record of the locality, the development, the price at which mines can be purchased, and all information calculated to facilitate the sale of mines. Gen. Ihrie is well known on this coast as a gentleman of experience and sagacity and of a high order of integrity. It is not the design of this firm to pass opinions upon the merits of mines entrusted to their care, but only to afford a record of mines for sale, in connection with the purchase and sale of real estate, stocks, etc.
