Extract of a Letter from Portsmouth, April 2. Yesterday Morning arrived from the Downs, the Jason, Aldborough, Firedrake, Merlin, Fly and Sultafh, with 180 Sail under Convoy. The same Morning sailed Admiral Broderick in the St. George, the Glasgow and Alderney, and the Trade for Portugal and the Streights; the Chesterfield with the Trade for New York and Virginia; the Infernal Bomb with the Trade for Guernsey. This Morning the five Companies of Brudenell's Regiment march'd off our Parade, and were put on board the Transports. It is said they are destined for Halifax under Convoy of the Vanguard. The rest of the Regiment embark'd at Gosport. Same Evening the Firedrake and Zephyr sailed on a Cruize.
