Great Fire in Wentworth, N. H.—On Friday, the 4th inst. that large tavern house in Wentworth village, owned and occupied by Dr. Sanborn, was destroyed by fire—together with the meeting house and also the barn and shed belonging to Hon. Thomas Whipple, whose house was with much difficulty saved from the flames. The fire is said to have originated from a blacksmith's shop near the tavern house.—We understand that Dr. Sanborn had effected an insurance upon his house—but we have not been able to learn the probable amount of the whole loss,—N. H. Post.
