Full Text

A few Days since, one John Arnold, a young Fellow, having the Curiosity to see the Lions and the other wild Beasts in the Tower, was so rash, upon one of the old Lions seeming to be asleep, as to venture to shake him by the Paw; but had quickly Reason to repent of his Folly, for the Beast seiz'd him and tore a large Piece of Flesh out of his Wrist, which had it not yielded to the Lion's Grasp, would at least have occasion'd the Loss of his Arm, and in all Probability his Life. He is under the Care of an eminent Surgeon, and is in a fair Way of Recovery.
