COUNTY AGAIN ESCAPES
COMMUNICABLE DISEASE

Windham County again, during the week ending December 5, enjoyed immunity from preventable diseases despite the fact that marked increases in cases were shown in other counties of the state, according to the weekly morbidity report of the State Department of Health for the first period of December. The state's total of new cases of whooping cough and measles rose appreciably over the previous week's total while increases also were indicated in scarlet fever and lobar pneumonia. No new cases of diphtheria or poliomyelitis were reported during the week in the state.
