SAYS KATHRYN IS TOO OLD TO WED
HIS SON NEW YORKER OBJECTS TO HIS SON MARRYING THE GREAT ACTRESS SEEN HERE THIS YEAR IN "SALOMBO."
The following special from New York will be read with interest by the Kathryn Kidder admirers in Cairo who saw her here a few weeks ago in the splendid performance of "Salambo," sharing the honors with Frederick Warde:
Kathryn Kidder, the actress, is engaged to be married to Louis K. Anapacher, the son of Leopold H. Anapacher of 5 West One Hundred and Twenty-second street. The latter objects to the union. He said:
"I have objected to the marriage, of course. Somehow, theatrical people do not look upon marriage as a serious proposition, but more as a business arrangement or a momentary infatuation. Miss Kidder is a great artist, and I am sure she is a fine woman, but my son is only twenty-seven years old and I understand Miss Kidder is forty-five years old."
The date for the marriage has not been set.
Miss Kidder is the daughter of Colonel H. M. Kidder, a member of the Chicago board of trade.
