ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING. - James Brown, a colored man about twenty years of age, was seriously wounded yesterday morning at half-past 8 o'clock, by the accidental discharge of a shot gun, in the hands of a young white man, with whom he was engaged in play. Almost the entire charge passed through his wrist, severing many of the tendons and vessels, but not materially injuring the bones. The accident occurred on the plantation of Mr. Verdier, in St. John's Parish, eight miles from the city. He was received into the City Hospital yesterday afternoon as a county patient, and his wound carefully attended to. In all probability his hand will be saved.
