NEW PORT, April 24.

Yesterday arrived the Packet from New-York, by which we have Accounts that a Body of Troops have landed in Connecticut, marched upwards of 30 Miles, destroyed a large Magazine of the Rebels, consisting of Flour, Pork, Rum, &c. &c. besides a large Quantity of Ammunition and other Military Stores. The Troops were fired upon from a Number of Houses, which were immediately set Fire to and consumed. Mr. Wooster, a Rebel General, we hear was left mortally wounded, and that Arnold narrowly escaped.
