Harry Batchelder Killed Near Crawford's Yesterday.
The body of Harry Batchelder was discovered yesterday morning cut in two near Crawford station, on the Mountain division of the Maine Central railroad. Batchelder left Portland Wednesday evening at 6.40 o'clock as brakeman on the regular run, which is a through freight train. When the train stopped at Crawfords he was seen, but when it arrived at Fabyans Batchelder was missing. Investigation was at once instituted, and his body was found about a train's length from Crawford's station.
The late Mr. Batchelder was a son of Willard and Hattie F. Batchelder, and resided with them. He was 22 years of age, unmarried and highly respected.
The body arrived on the 8 o'clock train.
