Morris Brown Faces Tuskegee Fearlessly

The spirit of autumn is here and football rises supreme throughout the land. At Morris Brown spirit is running high. They have an ancient foe knocking at their door in the form of the golden Tiger of Tuskegee, Tiger they have been unable to tame completely in the whole history of the school. Never have the treacherous Wolverines invaded the Tigers lair successfully. Several times the golden hued tiger has left his paw in the side of the Wolverine, leaving the Wolverine dead in the dust of old Spillers field. But the Wolverine has risen with new hope and determination to avenge the defeats of old, thus carrying its colors to an enviable place in the sun if this can be accomplished.
The By-Word is to "beat those awful Tigers." Conquest is in the heart of every Morris Brown football player and student, not to mention those who follow football and root for the Black and Purple colors. Morris Brown will be seeking revenge and will burn the Tuskegee team in effigy Friday night behind historic old Stone Hall on the Wolverine campus. What a celebration they say it will be. Hundreds of students and grads will take part in the ceremony that is expected to put the team on edge. Tuskegee will most likely be here to witness the ceremony as they will arrive in Atlanta Friday.

It is evident that general opinion has it that Tuskegee, with a well-balanced team this fall, will be an established favorite to win, but the writer sees a hard battle ahead and Morris Brown is given an even chance to win.
