A meeting of the Hawaiian Rifle Association was held last evening at the Hotel, the Vice-President, C. W. Ashford in the chair. Some alterations were made in the order of the events for the target practice on New Years' day, which will be found in the programme elsewhere. A discussion took place respecting the sights of different rifles. The Association passed votes of thanks to Hon. J. A. Cummins for a gold medal and to Lieuts. Ashe and Douglas-Hamilton and Dr. Yeo, of H. B. M. S. Hyacinth, for a silver cup. Mr. Cummins was elected an honorary member of the Association.
