SIBLEY IS THE PLACE
Clubs and Equity Societies In This Neighborhood Are to Hold An Outing
The Farmers' clubs and the Equity societies around Mankato, together with the members of the Cow Testing association, are laying plans to have a big "get together" picnic at Sibley park on Friday, September 1. This picnic is to be an all day affair, to which dinners will be brought and a speaking program arranged. The Farmers' clubs and the Equity Societies, through Professor C. R. Shumway, agricultural teacher in the high school, have extended to the Mankato Commercial club as a club and to the members as individuals, a hearty invitation to be present at the picnic with their lunch baskets and ready to meet with and get better acquainted with their neighbors from the country. It is hoped that there will be a goodly number from the city present, as such community affairs as this is planned to be, are a great benefit to all who take part in them and to the community as a whole. The invitation will be considered at the next meeting of the advisory committee.
